The Force Unleashed II continues the story of Starkiller, Darth Vader’s rogue apprentice who will stop at nothing to unleash the truth. This integrated campaign consists of print and posters depicting force powers being unleashed on Starkiller's enemies, CGI television spots and an interactive website that showcases Starkiller's epic powers.
We had this idea to throw Darth Vader through some walls to prove a point and showcase the immense power of his apprentice gone rogue. Darth Freakin Vader dude! They bought it and let us do it to get nerds like me hyped up for this game.
This is the second game in the franchise. A lot of gamers liked Force Unleashed for it's story, a side episode happening theoretically between Star Wars: Episode 3 and 4. The other reason gamers liked it was because they could mess troopers up with crazy moves using the Force. For the site, we wanted a cool way for people to click through content and learn about the new developed story. So, we let them destroy buttons using Starkiller's new epic powers to get through everything.
Darth Vader getting electrocuted. A storm trooper being disintegrated. Boba Fett getting slammed into a wall. Usually, these guys are the ones messing people up. We released imagery that most fans aren't use to in order to get people having a conversation and chatting about what could be in this sequel.
