ALIVE & KICKING
I created Alive & Kicking as an alternative to the cannabis and CBD hemp market. In an industry where the main focus was about the highest percentages, a large audience went unnoticed: The people who wanted to enjoy a sessional, low dose experience. Instead of being comatosed on the couch with a large pizza, Alive & Kicking was designed to help elevate moments and experiences with its blend of high CBD and low THC flower in its uniquely small form factor.

Mighty in vibes.
Alive & Kicking came in a custom designed pocketable package containing 14 slim cannabis pre-rolls. We only used whole flower and never bottom of the barrel trim. Each pre-roll came in .3 grams of a light THC / CBD blend. We even included a humidity pack in a cleverly designed pocket in the back of the box in order to keep flower as fresh as possible. And as a fun joke, we designed everything to have 4.20 grams in total for each box.
Award winning illustration
The idea was simple: Take our spirit animal, the capybara, and create a rad illustration that symbolized community, relaxation and general chill’ery. We commissioned illustrator and friend Barry Bruner to create this beauty and he ended up winning an award for it.
People we’re loving the form factor of our pre-rolls but wanted just a little more kick so we created LOOSIES – A small pack of 4 slim tubes packed with slightly higher potency.
We expanded the Alive & Kicking line to go beyond just the borders of California and stretch nationwide by developing a pure CBD version of our pre-rolls. Additionally, we offered pure CBD flower in a uniquely developed dome jar along with a CBD drink mix that allowed people to add a dose of wellness to any beverage of their choice.
The same vibes just without the high
We sourced the best whole CBD flower we could find by partnering with the best farms in the country. With strict third party testing and keeping the same rigorous manufacturing process, we created a truly premium CBD pre-roll product, all while keeping the same unique packaging from our THC line… Except this time we colored it with cobalt blue.
A&K Tincture
We expanded into CBD liquid drops that let anyone dose their desired amount into any beverage of their choice. The product stayed true to our brand approach by giving people an enjoyable dosable experience.
A&K Flower
People really wanted the option to enjoy the flower we were sourcing so we wanted to deliver but, we of course had to deliver it the A&K way. We stuffed unique jars that no one else on the market had with our premium sourced flower. Inside the cap, we we’re able to fit perfectly circular shaped humidity packs to keep flower fresh for an extended period of time. We think people were buying this purely for the jar at a certain point.
